Why do people go Study Abroad?

Posted on 9:06 AM by Vong Sam oun

  • It's an excuse to party.

Incidently, I found that one doesn't have to cross any borders, nor even matriculate, in order to study a broad. And if she wants to be studied, it can be very educational.

    1) It gives them the opportunity to enjoy being in an interesting environment.
    2) For those studying a new language, being in a country that speaks the language makes the learning process move a lot faster.
    3) For those studying architecture, being in the home country of the buildings studies makes the learning process move a lot faster.
    4) It gives people the opportunity to help spread their country's culture around the world.

For students going to an English speaking country, the number one reason is language skill. Like it or not, English is the language of business these days. Secondary reasons include a new culture, self reliance, new friends and being on their own.

For students coming from an English speaking culture, especially the U.S., the desire is a better way to learn another language. They tend to recognize that language learning at the primary and secondary level is not adequate or on par with the rest of the world. Secondary reasons for them also include the above, plus, admittedly, partying too as the drinking age is usually lower in European countries! (Must be a bit honest here!).

    There are many reasons.
    1. For instance, the country you live in may not be that good in the arts, therefore going somewhere else where the arts is more recognized can give you a head start.
    2. Some people may not be able to enter a college or school with their results, thus have to go overseas.
    3. Others see going abroad as a way to become more independent and learn the different cultures and having meet people of different races, religions.....
    4. Some choose to go overseas because they have been offered a scholarship or simply because their parents can afford it.
    5. Others go overseas because they feel that the current school which they are in is not maximizing their potential. For example, if you wanted to do engineering, you would much rather go to MiT as compared to Oxford because MiT is well-known for it's engineering courses.

Just a few notions that i came up with :] Wish you all the best if your thinking of going overseas!!~

People study abroad for a lot of reasons. It may include, but not limited to, learning a new language and culture, a sense of fun and adventure, and academic credit. Here's an article I've read from GoAbroad.com's study abroad directory http://www.studyabroaddirectory.com/study-articles.cfm. This might interest you into doing a study abroad program.

I think some students that they want to studied there in abroad because they want to having a some lessons of their classes in their school and to showing of their talents and of course that to having an opportunities of their lives for these coming of their future and I think it depends of the Good Quality Educations of these hundreds schools all over the countries and that's why they really want to studied there than of their own countries and I think theres a many reasons to choose it to studied there than of their respective the countries out there like lacking to teaching about this lessons regarding of their subjects from the elementary until college and aside lacking of teaching the lessons and of course a lacking of numbers to hiring the new teachers for the incoming the hundreds of the students, lacking of numbers the books to these students, even of lacking of their budgets of their respective these schools that's why to having an increased of these tuition fee of their respective schools out there
